Our History.

The History of Robinson Grace Church is the history of God's Faithful provision and love for the people of this area. In March of 1935 a Sunday School began at the Robinson Maplewood Elementary School. The people "caught the fire" and soon they were meeting each Sunday morning at the Robinson Township Hall. On Wednesday nights  they met in homes for prayer.

In 1952 work on the church basement was completed and they held their first service in November. The men of the Church continue to serve the Lord and their Church. They built a parsonage next door (what now serves as our Sunday School building aka: T.H.E. N.E.T. ) and completed it in 1960. The upper level of our Church was completed in 1965.

Our Vision.

#1 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Meet… In a contemporary styled, modest, multi-purpose, functional facility including a Worship Center, a Christian Education and Youth Center and a recreation area.

#2 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A church where lost people matter most, and where we are consistently and actively sharing the "Good News" of Jesus Christ with everyone in the community of Robinson Township, the city of Grand Haven and beyond. It is the goal of seeing a 10% conversion growth rate per year.

#3 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A contemporary church that uses innovative means to reach our culture. It is also a place where the Word of God is taught clearly, correctly and relevantly, and where we use various forms of multi-media, drama and other venues to communicate the Truth, and illustrate our (transformational) teaching.

#4 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A church that worships with a contemporary, culturally relevant praise band that reflects the time in which we live.

#5 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A church with multiple Pastors/Staff, for leading and equipping the church, enhancing our worship, and ministering to families, youth and children. It is also the goal of training leaders/elders for each Purpose of the church: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry and Outreach.

#6 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A Biblically elder-lead church based on the qualities of I Timothy 1 and Titus 3 . Where men of God are discipled and trained to spiritually lead God's church.

#7 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… where we value Children and Youth by training them with solid values based, Bible centered teaching, turning them onto Jesus with dynamic, current, contemporary ministry and giving their parents a sense of confidence and peace in our child-care. This begins in the nursery years and continues through High School.

#8 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A place that ministers to the total person: (Spiritually, Socially, Emotionally and Physically.) It is the dream of a place where people can find healing, encouragement and hope for their lives.

#9 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A church that never stops growing! As we grow we will manage our growth through multiple weekend services or by planting a sister church in another area.

#10 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A church made up of small growth groups, that encourage personal growth and create real community.

#11 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A church that has a global vision when it comes to evangelism. It is the desire to be a church that both supports missionaries from outside our church as well as raising up and sending out career and short-term missionaries from within our church. All to support the mandate of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the entire world. It is our goal to see a 1% budget increase each year in missions. (1% of our budget than 2% of our budget that 3%…)

#12 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A place that is committed to excellence in everything we do, serving the Lord with our best, where each person is proud to represent the church.

#13 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A house of prayer! A church where the powerful force behind what we do is prayer. It is the vision of creating unique, effective and powerful avenues of prayer within our church. Our goal is to have a prayer service being carried out during the Sunday Morning celebration service as well as having weekly prayer cells operating within the church

#14 Robinson Grace Church Aims To Be… A "Light House" in our community! It is the desire to build a reputation for Christ that penetrates the hearts and lives of those around us. It is the desire to impact our community and culture in unique, powerful and effective ways. It is the desire to meet practical, tangible felt-needs in people's lives.
